Collector's notes: "This wooden bowl has been mended...Since wood is scarce, the bowl could not be easily replaced."
Wood bowl with lines incised around outside near rim. Two major cracks, almost splitting the bowl in two. Repaired with a leather strip placed along the cracks, and secured with thin copper wire stitched through tiny holes drilled in the bowl. Worn on the bottom, and some of the wire is missing (apparently broken off).
