From card: "(Pomo & Boumali)* (Congo-Braz.)* Small leaf shaped blades with rather long slender handles, wrapped usually in brass wire or copper strips. Two of them have sheaths - one of alligator skin, one of wood wrapped with brass. One has a cone shaped brass pommel. *Similar to the "mapoula" of the Pomo and Boumali tribes of the middle Sanga River in Congo, Braz. See G. Breul, "Les. Pop. de la M. Sanga" in Rev. d'Et [crossed out] et de Sociol. Paris, 1910. Vol. 1, p. 30, fig. 50. -G.D.G."
