A charged bamboo spindle, with hand-spun (2) unbleached cotton and a painted clay whorl; egg-shaped ball of cotton; whorl painted in black and white bands; spindle tapers at each end. "Spun by and old woman in Dasalamy." Long cross piece of cotton holds the unit together when sold.
