Medicine bag model. Rectangular hide case with crescent-shaped top fringed on ends. Painted yellow with two red triangles on each side. 5" (13 cm). Records: Model. It is in the shape of a saddle and contains the "Great Talisman" of the Kiowas. No white has succeeded in seeing the talisman but it is known to be composed of the three hundred or more scalp trophies of the tribe. (ML). (from Merrill, William L. et al. 1997.
