FROM CARD: "Rear Adm. E. English" "Made from an elephant's tusk, the natural cavity forming the bore. The mouth hole is on the inside of the curve of the tusk. The outer surface has been cut down, leaving a raised lip about the mouth hole. A thumb hole is made in the side above the mouth hole.
