Pair of tools for the Ochun vessel (E436209) made of gold-like metal, shaped like small oars with cylindrical handles, decorated with geometric shapes impressed and incised into the harp-shaped body of the tool with notches along the body and brush marks on the blades. The tools were on exhibit in the Rhythms of Identity exhibition at the Smithsonian Latino Center (2000) along with a crown (E436211) and the Ochun vessel. The goal of the RI collection was to provide context for Afro-Cuban musical instruments. Most items were bought in Cuban botanicas and are mass-produced religious items.
