L-212 (Holland Chert)
Holland chert is also known as Derby, Ferdinand, and Upper Huntingburg. It is a light gray, gray mottled chert, variable in color: medium bluish gray (5B 5/1), light bluish gray (5B 7/1), yellowish gray (5Y 8/1), light brownish gray (5YR 6/4). It has sponge spicule inclusions and a very smooth opaque texture.
Geology remarks: Epoch- Pennsylvanian, Stage- Desmoinesian, Group- Raccoon Creek, Form- Staunton, Member- Holland Limestone
Location remarks: Dubois, Spencer, Daviess, counties, Indiana
