Elaborately painted barkcloth / tapa, stretched over circular piece of wood. Tapa is white, with finely detailed patterns outlined in black, and filled in in places with brown. Signed by the artist on back: "Su'a Tupuloa Uilisone Fitiao (2014) / July 2 / MATUU village / Pago Pago, Am. Samoa" Made for the Smithsonian while the artist was in residence in the Anthropology Department in July 2014.
