Notes:
Model of Thai Royal Barge, "Subanahongsa". Very long hull, with large curved swan head prow. At the center of the boat is a tall gold pavillion for members of the royal family. The boat model is made from gilded and lacquered wood. Inside of boat is red, outside is mostly gold, with black along the center. Includes several tiny figures, including two long rows of seated oarsmen, 7 royal insignia bearers, a flag bearer at the stern, royal attendants, etc. A white fur tassel hangs from the prow. Heavy wooden display stand, with brass plaque that reads: "THE SUBANAHONGSA IS THE PRINCIPLE ROYAL BARGE THAT CARRIES HIS MAJESTY THE KING OF THAILAND IN THE ROYAL PROCESSION TO THE TEMPLE".
