Description:
This is a Tiffany Blue™ shopping bag is distributed to customers of Tiffany & Co. Tiffany & Co. (or Tiffany’s) was started in 1837 by Charles Lewis Tiffany and John F. Young as a stationary and fancy goods store. By the late 1840s, they had opened a Parisian retail store and purchased the French crown jewels in 1848, enhancing the company’s prestige. In 1853, Tiffany bought out his partners and incorporated the company in 1868 as Tiffany & Co. Today (2015), Tiffany’s is widely known as a luxury jeweler and fine goods retailer.
The Tiffany Blue™ product packaging was introduced in 1845 with the first printing of the Blue Book, a marketing tool and mail-order catalogue printed and distributed by the company. Tiffany Blue™ (Pantone 1837, named for the year Tiffany’s was founded) is trademarked and is one of the most protected colors in advertising. The color serves as brand identity and implies the promise of a quality of a unique product inside.
