Description:
This is a brass instrument with central focus, and leather covering the barrels. The objective lenses are 50 mm diameter. The length is 14 cm (closed). The optics are good. Each eyecup is marked “MARCHAND * PARIS *.” The words “MADE IN FRANCE” appear on the cross piece at the eye end.
Marchand field glasses were sold by several American firms during the first quarter of the 20th century.
