Description:
A single-breasted black cashmere sport jacket worn by Gil Scott-Heron. The jacket has a notched collar and straight full-length sleeves, with a single vent in the center back. It closes at the center front with two (2) marbled black plastic buttons. The slit cuffs of the sleeves each have four (4) decorative marbled black plastic buttons. There are two (2) inset waist pockets with flap closures and one (1) inset breast pocket at the proper left side. The jacket is fully lined with black synthetic fiber. Shoulder pads are attached between the facing and lining fabric. There are two (2) interior inset breast pockets, one on each side. A manufacturer's tag is sewn on the proper right pocket reading "Jos. A. / BANK / ESTABLISHED 1905". A style and fiber content tag is sewn inside this pocket. An additional manufacturer's tag is sewn at the interior center back neck reading "Jos. A. / BANK / MADE IN MEXICO". A dry cleaner's tag is stapled over the proper right interior pocket opening, and a second dry cleaner's tag is safety pinned to the interior proper right front waist.
