Charles Guynemeyer's insignia; enamel on masonite; tan background with black crane with white trailing edge feathers on wings and tail depicted; black letter text "VIEUX CHARLES" below the crane.
Summary:
This reproduction of Charles Guynemeyer's aircraft insignia was commissioned for the Smithsonian Institution through the Works Progress Administration during the Great Depression.. They were originally on display in the aeronautical section of the Smithsonian "Tin Shed".
