Description:
Jar made of light brown, hard-fired pottery; nearly-spherical body shaped by paddle-and-anvil expansion of a wheel-thrown form; flat, string-cut base; short neck ending in wide, everted, nearly-horizontal rim.
Iron-based glaze is chocolate-colored, suffused with irregular yellowish coloration ("kiln transmutation") on shoulder at "front" of jar.
