Abstract:
This item consists of a photo album containing black-and-white photographs of Bering Island (Ostrov Beringa), Copper Island (Ostrov Mednyy), and other locations near the North Pacific and Bering Sea region taken by Colonel Voloshinov. Photos depict the local men and women of these areas, fur seals, hauling grounds, geographic features, rookeries, and fur seal slaughtering. Included with the album is a 3 page list of descriptions for each plate. Some or all of these photographs may be published.
