Abstract:
These original photographs and sketches mounted on board and with captions pertain to Stejneger's extensive study of the fur seals of the North Pacific-Bering Sea area. The photographs and sketches show Karabelnoye Rookery on Copper Island (officially Ostrov Mednyy). Some or all of these images may be published. Many of the photographs are dated August 1895.
