Abstract:
Photographs and postcards document Arthur Sowerby's fishing while in China (undated). Some photographs have captions of varying lengths, some include years, as well as sometimes stamped with China Journal and sundries number. Some captions include details about fish diet, behavior, and who caught it (in cases when collector is other than Sowerby). Subject matter includes detail images of fish caught being held by individuals, as well as images of area buildings and ships.
