Included are notes from field trips to Austria, Europe, Brazil, Maryland, and District of Columbia from 1922-1925, Delaware, Maryland, Maine, North Carolina, New Jersey, and Virginia from 1906-1907, District of Columbia and vicinity. Illinois, Indiana, and Virginia from 1897-1905, District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, Tennessee, Virginia, and South America from 1930-1959, District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, Trinidad, and Brazil from 1925-1930 Northeast and southeast United States, District of Columbia, Texas, and Puerto Rico from 1912-1919, and Southeast and west United States, District of Columbia, Virginia, and Mexico from 1907-1911. Includes one book with Chase's notes on specimens in the Hackel Herbarium in Vienna, Austria; and one photograph album (1898, 1903, and undated) from collecting trips in the United States and Central America.
