This collection documents the work of A. Remington Kellogg, 1918 - 1942, while he was working the U.S. Biological Survey as assistant biologist, Carnegie Institute, and the United States National Museum. Field books primarily cover his field work relating to the evolution of marine mammals. Specimen collecting took place in Alabama, Maryland (in the vicinity of Calvert County), Mississippi, North Carolina, Virginia, and Rampart Caves in Arizona.
