Description:
Fragment of printed cotton showing a scene of General Zachary Taylor on horseback at the Battle of Resaca de la Palma, with a soldier firing a canon, mounted cavalry with the American flag, teepees in the distance, and a river prominantly featured at the top of the design. Surrounded by palm trees and exotic foliage. Printed in blue and brown on an ivory ground.
