Summary:
Large scale illustration of a ladybug artist, named as Prof. Angelo Bug, Portrait Painter, painting a group portrait of other bugs and reptiles. Illustration likely drawn by Harrison Cady to be published as a comic in <em>Life</em> magazine.<br> Inscription (handwritten): 4 1/4<br> Inscription (typescript) on attachment on verso: Cady Jan 23, 1917; The artist: This is the last portrait group I'll ever undertake. Just as I begin the chameleon changes color, spots appear on the bull-frog, the tadpole sprouts a foot and the caterpillar throws out a set of wings.
