Mail art by Gerard Barbot to John Held Jr. consists of an envelope with a collage of artistamps, postage stamps, and rubber stamped images and text. <br>On recto, rubber stamp images and text reference the John Held text <em>An Annotated Bibliography of Mail Art</em> and commemorate "John Held Jr. Ten Years n Mail Art 1976-1986." The stamped "1986" is overwritten with "96" in pencil.<br> Also present is stamped text and images referencing Hiroshima with the inscription (stamped): MAIL ART IS JUST A BIG BACK AND FORTH WITHOUT BOMBS.<br> On the verso, more artistamps and rubber stamp produced images are present. Stamped text includes a call for ideas and images for performances in Hiroshima and Dallas, and a mail art show in Dallas, September 24-October 15, 1988.
