The papers of sculptor Kenneth Snelson measure 29.0 linear feet and date from 1946-2016. Included are extensive biographical information regarding Snelson's education, his time at Black Mountain College, and studios occupied; personal and professional correspondence and invention patents; project files on his sculptures and sculpture series; exhibition and loan files; and printed material consisting of exhibition catalogs and brochures.

Biography Note:
Kenneth Snelson (1927-2016) was a sculptor in New York, New York. Snelson's sculpture incorporates scientific ideas and imagery, especially the atom.
Donated 2017 by Katherine Snelson, Kenneth Snelson's widow.
