Summary:
Correspondence, bookplates, publications, and other materials on Rockwell Kent and Jones' own commercial art work.
REELS 1783-1785: Correspondence with Fred Bartz, 1955-1972, Earl Gibson, 1959-1966, and Rockwell and Sally Kent, 1933-1971, including copies of Kent's letters to Harry M. Geller, 1961-1962; and material on and by Kent, including a sketch, original proofs of bookplates, reproductions of drawings, bookcovers and posters; and clippings and articles, 1917-1978.
REEL 1793: Ten commercially reproduced bookplates executed by Jones for various clients. Included is a portrait of Kent and the notation "Rockwellkentiana" that Jones designed for himself.
REELS 4298-4299: Correspondence, 1943-1959, between Rockwell Kent, Jones, the Antioch Bookplate Company, and others primarily concerning bookplates; and correspondence, 1931-1982, between Lynd Ward, Mae McNeer Ward, Jones, and others concerning bookplates, art work, and the exchange of visits.
UNMICROFILMED: A typescript, gallery proofs, a signed first edition of THE PRINTS OF ROCKWELL KENT: A CATALOGUE RAISONNE (1975) by Jones; textiles; stamps, 1939, stationary, a scarf with a "Moby Dick" illustration; and a ceramic airmail stamp designed by Kent.
