Scope and Contents:
The ritual of the Celestial Church of Christ. Celebrated prior to Christmas i.e., the 23 and 24 of december on the beaches of Dahomey december 1973. It was a 3-5 day ceremony with participants coming from various parts of the West African Coast, i.e., Dahomey, Togo, Nigeria, and Ghana. The rhythm was African, the animation was African but the symbols were European. It ended with a baptism in the sea. The date on the slide is JAN72 .
