Original hand-written text on recto, "Diègo, 6 Wept 14. Dear Sir. A few minutes before departure for France, I received notice from Antanimundry that the first salt harvest world start on the 4th. The notice is from the evening of the 3rd. In view of the bad weather which could interfere with deposits of a certain thickness, I prescribed that harvesting be carried out every five or six days. Respectfully."
