Biographical:
For years, Olu Dara was an ever-present figure on the avant-garde New York loft jazz scene of the 1970s. Proficient on the cornet horn and the guitar, he has played along side jazz luminaries such as Doug Carn, Art Blakey, and Henry Threadgill. He has released two solo albums on Atlantic Records and still maintains an active performance schedule. He is the father of Hip-Hop icon Nas.
