The Printed Materials Series contains books, programs, and other documents from Patterson's personal collection. Included in the series is a signed copy of Robert R. Moton's book What the Negro Thinks.

The series is organized alphhabetically by the authors' last name. Document types found in the series include books, programs, and pamphlets.
