Scope and Contents note:
Exhibition files primarily contain catalogs and printed materials related to exhibitions held or organized by the André Emmerich Gallery in New York and the Galerie André Emmerich in Zurich. These files occasionally also contain guest books, posters, and press releases from the exhibitions. The most recent files relate to a series of exhibitions organized by Jeffrey Deitch in the final months of the gallery's operations and contain accounting and correspondence files detailing the organization and expenses of each exhibition.
Arrangement note:
Exhibition files are arranged chronologically by date of exhibition. The guest books are together at the end of the series.
Collection Restrictions:
Use of original papers requires an appointment and is limited to the Archives' Washington, D.C. Research Center.
Access of diaries and appointment books required written permission.
