These records consist of video and audio elements for the video "Gems and Minerals: The Ultimate Rock Video." Created in 1989, this video was part of a home video series that was created for a general audience. The series, titled "Smithsonian Video Collection," was a collaborative venture with Eastman Kodak Co. and consisted of five programs available for purchase. Materials include Betacam tapes, Betacam SP tapes, U-Matic tapes, 3/4" tapes, VHS tapes, 1/4" audio soundtrack, 1" magnetic videotape, and 2" magnetic soundtrack. A copy of "Gems and Minerals" is available in the Reference Library (Resv18).
