This accession consists of exhibition records pertaining to "In Pursuit of the Butterfly: Portraits of James McNeill Whistler" (1995), "Majestic in His Wrath: The Life of Frederick Douglass" (1995), "Federal Profiles: Saint-Memin in America, 1793-1814" (1994), "Cecilia Beaux and the Art of Portraiture" (1995), and "Lazzaroni: Science & Scientists in Mid-19th Century America" (1972). All were exhibitions held at the National Portrait Gallery. Materials include photographs, loan agreements, correspondence, memoranda, notes, scripts, labels, and reports.
