Biographical / Historical:
George Pfouts Belden, 18844-1871, identified by Richard D. Rowen, Curator of History, Nebraska Historical Society, April 6, 1961. Rowen states that sketches made by Belden while serving with 2nd Nebraska Cavalry on a campaign against the Sioux under General Sully, 1863, are at the Nebraska Historical Society.
