Summary:
Album is comprised of photographs taken in and around Patiko, a settlement of the Acholi peoples (also known as Gan) in Uganda, and among the Teso peoples of Uganda. The images depict architectural features, general appearance of both Acholi and Teso, and in some instances activities and rituals. Photographer unknown.
Scope and Contents:
The album is comprised of photographs taken in and around Patiko, a settlement of the Acholi peoples (also known as Gan) in Uganda, and among the Teso peoples of Uganda, including at Lake Nagero and in the Guru Guru Hills. The images depict architectural features, the general appearance of both Acholi and Teso, and in some instances rituals and activities, including digging for water, watering cattle, threshing grain, mending a hoe, hunting and dancing. Additionally, there are several images of individuals wearing ornaments including brass rings, beaded headdresses and metal armbands.

Biographical / Historical:
The album was compiled by Major D.C. Robins, who served in British East Africa during the 1920s and 1930s. Photographer is unknown.
